Sheikh Mohammed Alaaddin Al Kandahari known as the Weeping Dervish is a Bektashi sheikh who used to live in Famagusta during 18 th-19 th centuries. Likewise, Sheikh Mustafa Ahi Er Resmi Al Qadiri who used to be here and died in 1792 is the founder of Resmiye sect of Qadiri tariqa. The tombs of both are situated where the Lodge was standing before.
